Position Function:
The College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University is seeking to hire an Assistant/ Associate/ Full Professor in International Aquatics and One Health. The position will also serve in the Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security.
Salary Grade: UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for outreach, service, and research in support of the MSU Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security programs. International travel is required to support and expand global aquaculture development collaborations. This position will support the FAO Reference Center on Antimicrobial Resistance and Aquaculture Biosecurity at MSU and contribute to the advancement of One Health. This involves collaborative research and relationship building with faculty within Mississippi State University as well as external partners including state and federal agencies. This position will contribute to teaching and diagnostic support on an invited basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent and be eligible for licensure in the state of Mississippi. In addition, demonstrated expertise in aquatic health is required.
Applicants must be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have a PhD related to aquatic animal health or One Health. Experience working internationally is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team of scientists is desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
