Position Function:
Mississippi State University, in conjunction with Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking a radiologist to fill a flexible hybrid position, working part time as a faculty member (assistant/associate/full clinical professor) in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and part time as a telemedicine consultant for Thrive.
Salary Grade: UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As an Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor at MSU, teaching responsibilities will involve didactic teaching and clinical training of professional students, technology students, interns, residents, and graduate students in an innovative academic program. Service responsibilities will involve operation of the Radiology Service in the Animal Health Center, secondary emergency duty, and consultation with private practitioners. Clinical duties will be shared with other Radiology faculty members. Participation in the college’s continuing education and clinical research program, and supervision of Radiology interns and residents is expected. Thrive Pet Healthcare has partnered with Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine to create an innovative hybrid position that provides an attractive mix of the benefits of both academic and private practice specialty medicine.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (or equivalent). Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Radiology is required. Clinical competence in veterinary diagnostic imaging and demonstrated aptitude in teaching are required.
