Position Function:
Under the primary supervision of the Assistant AD for Business Operations and secondary supervision of the Associate AD for Business Operations, the position plays a key role in supporting the daily functions of the Athletic Business Office (ABO).
Salary Grade: 09

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the processing of vendor payments.
2. Assist in the processing of biweekly payroll.
3. Assist in managing and reconciling the ABO Equipment Procurement Card.
4. Assist in the processing and maintenance of athletics inventory.
5. Assist in ensuing that supplies remain adequate and that the office stays organized.
6. Assist in the hiring and onboarding of ABO student workers.
7. Ensures all assigned tasks follow department, University, Southeastern Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
8. Maintains an understanding of all aspects of the ABO sufficient to direct athletic and university employees to the proper contact person.
9. Other duties as assigned in support of procurement, accounting, payroll, financial aid, or other ABO functions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Basic data entry and/or word processing skills.
2. Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
3. Records maintenance skills.
4. Knowledge of payroll policies and procedures.
5. Knowledge of university accounting procedures involving procurement, travel, and/or employment.
6. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
7. Ability to perform simple accounting procedures.
8. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
9. Knowledge of cash management principles and/or procedures.
10. Ability to handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
• No or very limited physical effort required.
