The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining the College of Business brand using effective internal and external communications for the college. The position works closely with the College of Business leadership team and staff to ensure key stakeholders are being reached through communication efforts. This position will also coordinate with faculty, staff, students, and others to ensure open and consistent messaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work independently and collaboratively to provide daily operational support in the planning, coordination, and execution of College of Business communications, activities, and events including:

1. Create, manage, and publish graphics and content for the College of Business and its department.
2. Execute integrated marketing campaigns to reach target audiences and achieve measurable results.
3. Develop compelling content for digital and traditional marketing channels, including website, social media, email campaigns, press releases, and Dividends Magazine.
4. Actively engage departments and centers and ensure the college is targeting communications to those needs.
5. Ensure brand consistency in external communication across the Adkerson School of Accountancy, the Department of Finance and Economics, the Department of Management and Information Systems, and the Department of Marketing, Quantitative Analysis, and Business Law.
6. Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to support marketing and communication efforts.
7. Work collaboratively with the Office of Public Affairs to ensure compliance with all university marketing and communication standards.
8. Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for optimization and improvement.
9. Recommend and implement adjustments to communications strategies as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or closely related field.

Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Advanced degree with concentration in marketing, mass communications, or a closely related field.
2. Higher education experience
3. Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to develop and execute on innovative marketing strategies.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling message for different audiences.
5. Creative mindset with a passion for story telling and brand building.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
7. Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and web analytics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of all marketing media principles and techniques. Ability to create, compose, and edit well written materials as well as social media. Layout advertisements, edit website and database, gather, compile, and compose presentations. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Knowledge of customer service principles, techniques, systems, and standards. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

1. No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
