Responsible for the overall purchasing, receiving, inventory, distribution, use, and maintenance of athletic equipment for all football student-athletes, coaches, and staff according to established policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day operation of the Football equipment room, including supervision of full-time staff, fellow, and student managers as necessary.
2. Responsible for ordering, receiving, issuing/tracking, and budget management of all Adidas apparel for football.
3. As required, execute fitting of all athletes in sport specific equipment ensuring proper fit and compliance with safety standards.
4. Ensure athletic equipment is properly set-up, cleaned, packed, transported and stored for practice and games, both home and away games.
5. Assist designated football staff with ordering of football equipment with collaboration from others.
6. Maintain detailed inventory records for all football specific equipment and Adidas apparel.
7. Assist with Athletic Department shipping and receiving.
8. Responsible for managing football locker and equipment room areas, including monitoring and advising on the security of these areas.
9. Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) regulations in the performance of job duties.
10. Performs related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has supervisory responsibility of all football equipment full-time, part-time, and student staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Experience: 3+ years overseeing and managing a collegiate equipment room
- Certification or Licensure Requirements: Commercial Driver’s License eligible; must be certified by AEMA or working towards certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience beyond the minimum
- Knowledge of inventory tracking system
- Knowledge of proper helmet and shoulder pad fitting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to work long and irregular hours.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

- Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dirt, chemicals, etc.
- Job frequently requires walking, standing, lifting, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
- Requires handling of heavy weight objects up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis and on occasion up to 150 lbs.
