Working in one of the most exciting offices on campus, this position directly advises our Music Maker Productions student organization (concerts), plans our Lyceum Series (performing arts series), and is responsible for planning some of the Center for Student Activities yearly big events (programming). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following examples are intended as illustrations only of the various types of duties assigned in positions allocated to this classification. 1. Coordinate the MSU Performing Arts Lyceum Series including brochure design, ticketing operations, advertising, and artist relations for day of shows.
2. Oversee the marketing and event preparation for Dawg Days and facilitate programming for Dawgs After Dark including communication, marketing, contracting vendors, and execution of events.
3. Supervise Music Maker Productions in their selection of concerts, securing venues, contracts, ticketing operations, advertising, and artist relations for day of shows.
4. Supervise a Graduate Assistant that will assist this area.
5. Coordinate assessment methods to evaluate current events and student leadership programs to determine student needs and interests and assess learning outcomes of programs presented by Center for Student Activities.
6. Assist in advising all sponsored student organizations in the Center for Student Activities including the Programming Board, New Maroon Camp, Student Association, Dance Marathon, and Involvement Ambassadors.
7. Assist in the supporting functions of the day to day traffic in the Center for Student Activities.
8. Attend all Center for Student Activities-sponsored programs and meetings.
9. Travel with student delegates to workshops and programs sponsored by professional associations and/or other institutions.
10. Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Minimum of one year's leadership experience in a student organization.
2. Experience in student programming or student activities, preferably in a higher education setting.
3. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of Human Resources Management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration/Leadership
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience using Excel, Adobe Suite, and Canva, are helpful.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
This position requires night and weekend work, as well as some outdoor activities.
