The College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University is seeking to hire an Assistant Clinical Professor in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. This will be a part-time 50% faculty position with the remaining 50% working with our industry partner Thrive.

Salary Grade:  UC

Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position's workload will consists of time allocated for clinical service, teaching and research/scholarly activity. The assignment will be 0.95 clinical service/teaching within the MSU CVM Animal Health Center Diagnostic Imaging Service and Radiology clinical rotation, and 0.05 other service. This will be a part-time 50% faculty position with the remaining 50% working with our industry partner Thrive.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must have a DVM or equivalent and the ability to obtain licensure in the State of Mississippi, and have completed a residency training program approved by the American College of Veterinary Radiology.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent telephone and email communication skills, especially related to client service.
Must be capable of working in a team environment comprised of doctors, staff and students to provide veterinary care of patients and aid in the instruction of veterinary students and veterinary technology students.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.

Job requires standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
