Serves as the Chief Financial Officer enterprise-wide, overseeing all aspects of Mississippi State Athletics finances while providing strategic fiscal analysis, planning, and implementation for the new intercollegiate athletics financial/revenue sharing model.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic fiscal analysis, planning, and implementation for new intercollegiate athletics financial performance and revenue sharing model.
2. Provide oversight and responsibility for revenue sharing cap management.
3. Provide leadership, evaluation and oversight of budget and financial functions and performance of the Athletics Department.
4. Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the Athletics Director in making financial decisions impacting the Athletics Department.
5. Develop short and long-term revenue and expense projections and allocations for Athletics Department.
6. Oversee all business operations, budgeting, and financial reporting for the Athletics Department.
7. Negotiate and provide fiscal management of all major contracts of the Athletics Department.
8. Serve as the Athletic Department's primary contact with University Vice President for Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer.
9. Develop, manage, and assess funding mechanisms and budgets for all capital projects.
10. Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Supervisory Responsibility: Supervise all finance and business operations employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
- Experience: Five (5) years in collegiate athletics administration or experience in senior financial management

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience beyond the minimum.

• Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict resolution or similar interactions involving emotion issues or stress on a regular basis.
