Position Function:

Assist in providing responsible day to day management of assigned athletic facilities construction projects. Assist in obtaining and organizing cost estimates and presenting recommendations on assigned projects. Coordinate with project contractors and project materials vendors as needed. Will consult with and advise manager on project progress and budget. Will perform preventative maintenance and enhancements of all premium areas within athletic facilities. As needed, will support and assist athletic facility enhancements staff on repair and maintenance techniques within athletic department facilities. Reports to the Athletic Facility Projects & Quality Control Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead the performance and operational execution of facility repairs, upkeep, and enhancements.
2. Serve as project coordinator and liaison between athletic department and contractors and vendors and execute/perform necessary work under the direction of the Athletic Facility Projects and Quality Control Manager.
3. Assist in recommending facility maintenance, repairs, upkeep, and remodel projects to enhance facility function and appearance.
4. Assist in obtaining cost estimates from contractors and vendors on assigned projects.
5. Assist in compiling, organizing and submitting project cost estimates to supervisors.
6. Assist in monitoring and reporting project progress to ensure completion timeline and budget is met.
7. Assist in game day on-site facility support.
8. Perform related duties as assigned by the Athletic Facility Projects and Quality Control Manager and Sr. Assoc. AD for Facilities Enhancements and Equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
- Experience: 2 years in Building Maintenance, Construction, or Related Experience

Substitution allowed for Education:
When a candidate has the required experience, but lacks the required education, they may normally apply additional experience toward the education requirement at a rate of one (1) year of relevant experience per year of required education. Indicated experience is required, no substitution allowed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work long and irregular hours.
• Excellent organizational, management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
• Valid Drivers’ License.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

- Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. with one to the point of being objectionable. Injuries may require professional treatment.

Job frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping/kneeling/ crouching/ crawling. Talking. Hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Job occasionally requires climbing or balancing and lifting more than 100 pounds.
- Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
