Position Function:

Assisting the administrative office in Poultry Science by performing basic clerical duties.

Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.

Salary Grade:  UC

Department Profile:

The Department of Poultry Science Department is one of six stand-alone poultry science departments in the country and is housed in a new state of the art building accompanied by a 12-acre research farm adjacent to the main campus. Facilities include a hatchery, layer facility, numerous broiler research houses, a BSL 2 live bird research facility, and a processing plant. Two commercial houses are located nearby. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Answer the phones and transfer phone calls and take messages as necessary.
2. Greet patrons.
3. Put incoming mail in the perspective mailboxes.
4. Notify individuals of arrived packages.
5. Keep kitchen, copy and conference area clean.
6. Organize files, make copies, and shred documents as necessary.
7. Run errands around campus and/or in town.
8. Assist in paying invoices and placing orders.
9. Other various duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to follow instructions.
