Position Function:

Assists the head coach with all aspects of the daily operation of the basketball program.

Salary Grade: Salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all video-related needs for the men's basketball staff, including game footage, practice sessions, and player highlights.
2. Implement advanced video analysis software and techniques to provide comprehensive breakdowns of games and practices.
3. Collaborate with offensive and defensive coordinators to develop detailed scouting reports and advanced game preparation strategies.
4. Utilize video and data analytics to identify opponent tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses, ensuring the team is fully prepared for each game.
5. Prepare and present recruiting visit presentations, showcasing the program’s strengths, facilities, and player development programs.
6. Assist with the integration and application of advanced analytics for scouting purposes, including player performance metrics and predictive modeling.
7. Provide detailed statistical analysis and reports to support coaching decisions and game strategies.
8. Upload and manage all plays, scouts, practices, and games on Hudl for player review and study.
9. Ensure that digital content is organized, accessible, and utilized effectively by players and coaching staff.
10. Assist in the design and implementation of player development programs, incorporating performance metrics and video feedback.
11. Provide regular performance reviews and detailed reports on team and individual player performance.
12. Ensure all scouting, recruiting, and player development activities comply with NCAA, SEC, and university regulations.
13. Other duties as assigned by the men’s basketball staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field with three (3) years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to think critically & put together game-plans that increase chances of on-court success.
• Strong technical knowledge & a willingness to constantly expand that knowledge to benefit the program.
• Excellent organizational, management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours.
• Ability to travel and stay overnight.
• Valid Drivers’ License.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. with one to the point of being objectionable. Injuries may require professional treatment.
• Job frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping/kneeling/ crouching/ crawling, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
