Position Function:

Assist in the scouting of opponents and statistical analysis working with the Head Basketball Coach and Assistant Basketball Coaches.

Salary Grade: Salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for downloading and transferring files of opponent’s games for the
men’s basketball staff in a manner that is consistent with our scouting philosophy.
2. Assist with statistical analysis of particular lineups, matchups, situations, and tendencies
3. Responsible for filming all practices, along with the recording of statistics
4. Organizes video exchange and assist with analysis of opponents.
5. Monitor and record team workouts, strength and conditioning sessions, and practices.
6. Assist with film used to promote the program, our accomplishments, and philosophies
7. Responsible for helping with the promotion of Basketball Camps.
8. Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field; at least three (3) years of related experience;

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours.
• Excellent organizational, management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel and stay overnight.
• Valid Drivers’ License.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. with one to the point of being objectionable. Injuries may require professional treatment.

Job frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping/kneeling/ crouching/ crawling, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
