Position Function:
The Assistant Director of Videoboard Operations supports the planning, production, and execution of videoboard shows to deliver an engaging fan experience at Mississippi State home athletic events. This position assists with technical operations, game day production, and content management, working collaboratively with the Director of Videoboard Operations and other key departments.
Salary Grade: 14

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary contact for all videoboard shows and needs for assigned sports including but not limited to loading, testing, and system maintenance.
2. Produce games and events using Daktronics show control and related systems.
3. Collaborate with Creative team and other External units to ensure videoboard content is designed according to required specifications and maintains brand standards.
4. Coordinate with Fan Experience and Bulldog Sports Properties staff to ensure accurate delivery of marketing, sponsor, and in-game content.
5. Help oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of Daktronics and control room equipment.
6. Collaborate with the Director of Videoboard Operations and Videoboard Engineer on system upgrades, equipment needs, and the pursuit of new technologies.
7. Provide production support for special projects and non-athletic events as assigned.
8. Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing or related field with one to two years experience in Public Relations, Marketing or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience as full-time worker, graduate assistant, or student worker in collegiate athletics marketing, or related field. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Requires comprehensive knowledge of Daktronics Software and Controllers including Show Control, Content Studio, Venus Control Suite, All Sport, Data Studio, and others
2. Requires working knowledge of current live production hardware including Ross Video Switchers, Ross Xpression Graphics System, Evertz Dreamcatcher Replay System and DiGiCo Console Mixers.
3. In addition, comprehensive knowledge of video software recognized as industry standards such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
4. Excellent organizational skills to handle the volume and variety of projects for which they must be accomplished.
5. Ability to meet deadlines, follow priorities and to schedule work on several projects at once.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
1. Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
2. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and work long hours.
3. Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
4. Job occasionally requires standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting to 25 pounds.
5. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
