Position Function:

The Project Coordinator will support the implementation and evaluation of the NSF-funded SAGEIN (Sustainable Agriculture and Green Energy Innovation Network) program. Working under the direction of the Lead Evaluator, the coordinator will manage day-to-day operations, coordinate interdisciplinary training activities, support curriculum development, and assist with program evaluation and reporting. This position is integral to fostering a vibrant and collaborative research community across multiple STEM disciplines.

Salary Grade:  13

Department Profile:

The School of Human Sciences provides education, research, and outreach programs related to human interaction and relationships, early childhood, child life, youth, adult and family studies, and teacher education in Family and Consumer Sciences and Agricultural Education. In addition, selected School programs focus on commerce, marketing, and using technology for problem-solving and designing programs and projects.

Anticipated Appointment Date:

October 2025. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and training activities with academic and industry partners.
• Support curriculum development and interdisciplinary course planning.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and tracking of NRT-funded trainees.
• Collaborate with the lead and external evaluators to implement assessment protocols.
• Collect and manage quantitative and qualitative data for program evaluation.
• Monitor participation in project activities and ensure alignment with program goals.
• Prepare reports and documentation for NSF and university administrators.
• Facilitate communication among faculty, students, and external stakeholders.
• Support the planning and execution of events such as orientations, retreats, and seminars.
• Contribute to the development of open-access educational resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination and program evaluation.
Licensures:
• Valid driver’s license.
Substitution: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience with federally funded research or education projects (e.g., NSF, NIH)
• Familiarity with program evaluation methods and tools

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools including SPSS or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Work is generally performed in an office environment
• Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10–15% of the time
• Standard office equipment generally used includes:
- Telephone
- Personal Computer (monitor, keyboard, and mouse)
- Printer/Photocopy Machine
- Calculator
• Willingness to complete background check and university onboarding requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
