The purpose of this position is to assist the departments in the College of Education with recruitment, retention, advising, and orientation events including Academic Insight.

Salary Grade:  14

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties that fall within the responsibility of this position include:
1. Assist with the ongoing development of the recruitment plan for the College of Education.
2. Work with the dean, associate deans, department heads, faculty, and staff to coordinate recruitment events for the College of Education and participate in recruiting events (travel).
3. Coordinate and facilitate orientation events, including Academic Insight, for the College of Education.
4. Develop and maintain databases for potential students, suspended students, and graduates.
5. Work with department heads and faculty to assist with advising for the College of Education.
6. Collaborate with College of Education faculty and staff to manage and house recruitment materials.
7. Work with communication staff in the College of Education on social media and events.
8. Collaborate with the dean and associate dean to promote the College of Education Ambassadors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field
2 years' experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or equivalent and 3+ years' experience; Teacher (k-12); Experience facilitating recruitment events; College teaching experience; Advising experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Understanding of programs of study offered in the College of Education; Experience working with students and faculty; Experience recruiting; Banner experience; Database experience; Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Normal office environment with some travel required.
Requires limited lifting of objects under 20 lbs.
Job frequently requires walking, sitting, standing, talking, hearing, reaching, and handling objects with hands.
Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
