Coordinate the duties and responsibilities associated with the daily operations of the Academic Affairs Office in the College of Veterinary Medicine. To supervise the staff in the implementation of their responsibilities associated with this office.

Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.

Salary Grade:  13

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare communications to faculty of timelines required to meet the requirements of the curricular blueprint.
2. Coordinate staff activities required for syllabi production, student scheduling, examinations, grade reporting, and externship data collection for the DVM program
3. Coordinate and assist in the implementation of EVALUE for course evaluations, PXDX, the externship database, schedule optimization module, the alumni directory, and alumni surveys
4. Coordinate with Faculty and administration on all activities required to update and maintain the curriculum mapping for the College of Veterinary Medicine
5. Maintain secure student academic records
6. Maintain student database, web pages, and academic affairs server.
7. Oversee staff personnel in the fulfillment of all responsibilities of the Office of Academic Affairs
8. Serve as liaison between Academic Affairs and various University offices

Supervisory Responsibility:
Full supervisory responsibility for other employees is a major responsibility and includes training, evaluating, and making or recommending employment decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.

Experience (yrs.) - 3-5 yrs. Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities listed above with demonstrated supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling assignments
2. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Knowledge of customer service principles, techniques, systems, and standards.
5. Basic computer skills and the ability to adapt to software applications
6. Knowledge and understanding of business management principles and practices

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
Job occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
