Position Function:
The Football Video Fellow is an entry level position that will assist the Director of Football Technology and the Assistant Director of Football Technology in all aspects of football video operations including, but not limited to, camera operation, editing, data reconciling, and AV setup for football games, practices, workouts, and meetings. Additionally, the position assists in providing technological support and basic IT troubleshooting for the entire football staff. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position that will require working some non-traditional hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays during football season and when needed during the off-season) plus team travel. This position is designed to be a 1-year internship to gain experience with the possibility of being extended beyond 1-year. This is not a production position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Camera Operation – Shooting games, practices, workouts, and special events.
• Editing – Import video, mark clips, create edits/sequences, and enter/import/reconcile data for viewing by the coaching staff. This includes games, practices, workouts, opponent video, and special projects.
• Assist in setup of computers and video equipment used in meeting rooms at the team facility and home/away hotels.
• Assist in the preparation of video edits for iPad/computer use by the coaching staff following games and practices.
• Assist with recruiting events (official visits, unofficial visits, facility setup, highlight video viewings, other duties as assigned).
• Assist with football video office day-to-day operation.
• Assist with summer camps.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field with experience as a student worker, Graduate Assistant, or Intern in a college or professional sports video setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of experience working in a college or professional sports video setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience with Catapult Sports / XOS Thunder, DVSport, or comparable sports video software systems.
• Experience with video cameras and video equipment.
• Experience working in a collegiate or professional sports video department.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Must be self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Must adhere to all NCAA, SEC, and Mississippi State University rules and regulations.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• Frequent interruptions based on changing priorities; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays during football season (including team travel) and when needed during the off-season.
• Ability to lift, move, and pull equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to reach, bend, sit and/or stand, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands.
• Ability to run with camera while shooting on-field drills.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to take direction in a high pressure, fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
